Actually-our youngest son is attending school at UNC and we are interested possibly in purchasing rental property in Greeley-but only if Kevco manages it for us. (Even if my son lives there!!!) That is how impressed I have been with your management company. Barb, Kevin and the Kevco team has taken the biggest hassle of owning investment property right out of the equation. And that is the day to day details of dealing with tenants and maintance of the property. The only way we will purchase any more investment property is with Kevin finding me the property and Barb and team managing it for me. By the way it has been a over a year since we saw the Devonshire House. can you let me know what the time frame between the change of tenants in Aug. My story about utilizing Kevco Property Management is one of the cart before the horse. I had been interested in purchasing a rental property with my IRA account for quite a while. There was no doubt that I would utilize Kevco as I had been very impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, and history of getting their properties rented. I asked Barb Bolin what she thought would make the best rental and she told me a 2 bedroom home in old town was a property she could “rent every day of the week”. I, therefore, made a property like that my goal. Coincidentally I found just such a property on the Kevco investment tour. It immediately caught my eye and I asked Kevin what he thought of it. He calculated my cash flow in about 5 seconds. It definitely worked. I put in an offer the next day. It had tenants in it one week later and it has never been vacant (good timing, school was about to start). Needless to say I am looking for another property just like it. My faith in Kevco started the process, in other words knowing they would manage my property was the impetus for me to start my investing career. Having been a Realtor myself I thought I could rent my residence without a problem before moving into my new home. I was wrong! I kept dropping the rent payment, taking time off my busy schedule to show the property, spent money on advertising and not landing a good tenant, I decided to call Kevin and Barb. I should have done that months ago. Within two weeks, not only did the rent my place but negotiated a rent that works for both parties, and I feel safe with their screening process to find the tenant. I have yet to experience the cost of vacancy which in today's market is very common.
