Okay, its time to move.
About three weeks ahead of your scheduled move out date, please contact KEVCO to set up a pre-moveout inspection. It gives us the chance to align our expectations of the property condition and point out anything in advance that might be a deposit item if not remedied.
Please look at our cleaning checklist and make sure that you have taken care of these items for the moveout walk through. Lightbulbs are inexpensive! Make sure that you have replaced all of the burned out bulbs. It is a lot less expensive if you take care of it than if we have to send someone out to do it for you.
Carpet Cleaning:
If you want us to take care of the carpet cleaning, let us know at least 3 weeks before your moveout date so we can reserve a time for you. If you decide to coordinate the professional cleaning yourself, make sure they do a thorough job including spot treatments and deodorizing. If the carpets are not thoroughly cleaned, we may need to have them done again which means that you would be paying for it twice.
Utilities:
If you pay your own utilities, please call to have them taken out of your name no earlier than the last day of your lease. If you do it too soon, you may have to pay an additional connection fee. Make sure that all of the utility providers have your forwarding address for your final bills.

When will you get your deposit back?
We will mail the disposition of your security deposit no earlier than 30 days and no later than 60 days after you have moved out completely. Please DO NOT call to find out when you will receive your deposit. We process them as quickly as possible and need to make sure that all of your final utility bills have been paid prior to processing the deposit.
