A. Re-leasing and Pre-leasing begins: Believe it or not, it's that time of the year again. We actually received our first call for pre-leasing a home August 1st, 2007 in October of 2006. Many students are currently looking to get their housing situation locked up by the time they leave for the summer. We have seen an increase of 200% in web activity on the KEVCO web site and we are gearing up for the CSU Housing Fair in April. If you are a current KEVCO tenant in good standing**, you have first priority to re-lease your current property or rent any other available KEVCO property. All tenants must let us know what they plan to do by 3/1/07 and if they plan to renew their lease, they need to have all documents re-signed as soon thereafter as possible.
**Please keep in mind that we reserve the right to not re-lease to any current tenant.
B. 3 Unrelated: The City of Fort Collins has an ordinance limiting the number of people who can occupy a property. This ordinance is commonly referred to as the 3 unrelated ordinance. The city has posted a FAQ here for you to learn more about this ordinance. The city is also requiring that a disclosure be completed for every new lease and every home sale. You can view the disclosure here. KEVCO will not rent to more then 3 people.
